Actress Sherleen Dutt, who has been a part of 'KINK' and
'Honey Trap Squad' and was recently seen in the web series Koi Jaye Toh
Le Aaye, is back with a brand new web series Shringarika. The actress
adds that while she was aware the series would have its own challenges,
she was deeply intrigued by the storyline, and wanted to be part of it.
“I chose Shringarika because the story is really unique and interesting.
It revolves around Shingarika, a king, and his 65 queens, which is such
a fresh and entertaining concept. Unlike my past projects, this one
blends comedy, drama, and historical elements in a very engaging way.
The script instantly caught my attention, and I knew it would be a fun
challenge to be a part of it,” she says.
Talking about her character, she says, “I play one of the queens, and my
character has a speech impairment, which makes her even more funny and
endearing. She is a very positive and light-hearted character, always
bringing a cheerful energy to the scenes. What makes her special to me
is how unique she is—I haven’t played a character like this before, and
it allowed me to explore comedy in a new way.”
Ask
her what was the most challenging part of playing her character, and
she says, “The most challenging part was speaking shudh Hindi while also
maintaining her way of speaking. It required a lot of practice to get
the comic timing right without making it look overdone. Sometimes, my
dialogues were already funny, and with my character’s speech style, it
became even funnier—so much so that the whole set would burst into
laughter! There were times when I couldn’t control my laughter while
delivering certain lines.”
Working with Vishal Kotian and Aakansha Puri in the show was amazing,
she says, adding, “Vishal Kotian is full of energy and always keeps the
set lively, while Aakansha Puri is so graceful and professional. Both of
them were really supportive, and we had a great time shooting together.
The entire team had great chemistry, which made the process even more
enjoyable.”
As for the feedback, the audience is loving her in the show. “The
response has been really positive! People are loving the humour and
finding my character very entertaining. Many have reached out to say
that my role adds a unique charm to the series, and that makes me really
happy. Seeing the audience enjoy and appreciate my work is the best
feeling.”
She adds, “I’m really grateful for the love and appreciation Shringarika
has received. It’s always fulfilling to see people connect with your
work and enjoy the effort you’ve put in. The response has been great so
far, and I hope it continues to grow! I just want to thank everyone who
has watched Shringarika and supported it. It’s a special project for me,
and I’m so glad people are enjoying it. There’s a lot more fun and
