Actor Kunal Verma, who recently made his return to television after a seven-year break, is currently seen playing the role of Vihan in the popular Star Plus show Jhanak. While his career has seen its fair share of successes, it’s his personal life that has truly shaped his outlook in recent years.
Verma,
who became a father to his son Krishav, has learned to find a balance
between his career and family life. "Work is important to me, but being a
good human being and spending quality time with my family is just as
vital," he says. His time away from television, especially after
Krishav’s birth, allowed him to reflect on what truly matters. "I’ve
always been grateful for the time I got to spend at home, even taking
charge of the kitchen sometimes. It’s been a rewarding experience," he
shares with a smile.
The
actor admits that it’s not always easy to manage both worlds. "I miss
spending time with Krishav, especially now that I’m back to working long
hours. But I remind myself that this is necessary. The time spent at
home helped me grow personally, and now I’m grateful to be back in the
professional space," he says. Verma’s decision to return to television
with Jhanak wasn’t just about reviving his career but also about setting
an example for his son. "I want to show him the value of hard work and
dedication. Even though I was away from work for some time, I was
constantly working on myself—whether that was through auditions, reading
scripts, or improving my craft," he explains.
Despite
the challenges of long working hours in the television industry, Verma
has found a new sense of perspective. "Being a part of television,
especially in India, comes with long hours and dedication. But the
feedback and love from the audience keep me motivated. I’m glad to be
back and working with such an amazing team," he says.
His
journey back to television has been filled with lessons, both
professional and personal. "I’ve learned that time is the ultimate
healer. Patience is key, and things happen when they are meant to.
Family will always be my first priority, but I’ve learned to strike a
balance between work and personal life," he reflects.
As
Jhanak continues to attract viewers, Kunal Verma is grateful for the
opportunity to be a part of such a meaningful project, while also
cherishing his role as a father. "Both phases—when I wasn’t working and
now, when I am—are important to me. I give my 100% to everything in my
life, whether it’s my career or my family," he concludes, with a sense
of gratitude for the journey ahead.
